The Show ²⁰¹⁷

Klaas Rommelaere expresses himself through textiles and handcrafts: colourful flags, tapestries, masks, installations … The Show is inspired by the Tibetan Wheel of Life. When Rommelaere made the piece, he had been working in a gift shop for a few years. He had the feeling that he was living in a cycle, from holiday season to holiday season. The border is based on old motifs from Burda and the inside consists of nine separately embroidered pieces, connected with filet crochet.
